U2 and The Fray

Kalvin has been wondering why I haven't blogged about the awesome concert we attended so I thought I had better. On Tues. May 24th we were lucky enough to go to the U2 concert at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It was the concert that had been postponed the previous year. Kalvin is a huge U2 fan and I love getting out of the house. It was a win win. The Fray was the opening band and they were awesome. I love there songs and there hot drummer Ben Wysocki (hot guy on the far right). The stage was amazing and U2 put on a great show. All in all it was a awesome concert.

Thanks Grandma Hendricks for the tickets and thanks Grandma Cookie for watching "the curtain climbers." It was nice to have a night out on the town with Kalvin. Until we meet again Ben you'll be in my dreams!

Taylor's Preschool Graduation

Today Taylor had his preschool graduation. It was really fun. The kids all sang really cute songs. Taylor did great and sang loud. He has really loved preschool. We were lucky enough to have a neighbor that lives right down the street teach him. Taylor has enjoyed Miss Sara's class so much and learned lots. Taylor has learned the alphabet, reading letters and can write his name pretty well. Miss Sara really knows how to make learning fun as you can see from all the pictures. She was nice enough to make a CD with the pictures seen below.

Taylor didn't want school to end for the summer. We look forward to starting again in the fall.

Where do you want to go?

Scott had his setting apart last night. It was awesome. Then this afternoon

he got dropped off at MTC. So there has been lots of talk

about missions and Scott leaving.

Tonight when I was reading Taylor his bedtime story the book talked about airplanes going up, bikes taking you wherever you want to go ect. Then at the end it said, "Where do you want to go." Taylor immediately replied, "On a mission!!!"

I Hope They Call Me On a Mission

Not only was Sunday great because I love Mothers Day but my brother Scott had his mission farewell. He did a wonderful job speaking. I am so proud of him and how hard he has been working towards his mission. He is a great example to me and my boys. Taylor and Riley love and adore there Uncle Scott. Scott leaves next week for the MCT then he is headed to Romania!!!

We love you Scott!!! You will be a AWESOME MISSIONARY!!!

Who says TV isn't Eduational?

The Many Faces of Taylor

Happy

Surprised
Sad

Angry

One of Taylor's favorite TV shows is Ni Hao Kai Lan. The other day there was an episode talking about different moods people feel. All day after Taylor was showing me different ways he was feeling by his expression. It was pretty fun.

A week before this Taylor was watching a different show on TV, I am unsure about the name but it was an episode about danger calls where animals were calling for help and how to use a danger call correctly. A little while later I heard Taylor yelling, " Danger, danger, Ri is in danger." I ran in the next room to find Riley standing up on the computer desk. Taylor then asked me if he used his danger call correctly. I was pretty proud of him. I think its important to be aware of what your kids are watching because apparently they are learning lots from what they see.

My Friend the Dentist

On Thursday I took both kids to the dentist for the first time.

Taylor had LOTS and LOTS of questions for the dental assistant and the dentist. They were great at explaining everything they were doing and all the tools.

There was even a TV on the ceiling playing tangled that he could watch and hear through head phones while getting his teeth cleaned.

Riley was able to sit on my lap during his exam (hence there are no pics of him). He did great, he didn't cry and even opened his mouth for the exam. The dentist even said, "I can already tell this guys is going to be a great patient."
Both kids got good reviews on their teeth!
I absolutely loved the dentists office I chose to take them to. The staff was amazing with the kids and helpful when talking to me. The building was so fun Taylor didn't want to leave. Once we were done they gave each of the kids the normal bag of goodies with dental loot and a golden token to redeem for a toy! Oh and mom even got a bag of goodies with chap stick and a few other fun things. If anyone is looking for a pediatric dentist in the Lehi area I would highly recommend.
